About Me

As some of you may know I am Jennifer Villanueva, I am 17 years old, and I am a senior here at Heritage. A quick fact about me is that I love to travel and enjoy the simple things in life. Even though I may seem like the quiet type of person, once I get comfortable around you I will start acting more like myself. I have taken this class since sophomore year because I had a really good experience in learning many new things.

Teapot

This teapot was very time consuming as well as the little cups that go along with it. My original idea was to make the teapot look like a unicorn but I struggled very much and so I then decided to do pigs. Creating them was not very hard but glazing them was because they didn’t have the right pink tone. I had also done 4 cups but one of them just went missing. Overall I really liked how this project turned out.

Sprig Mold

For this sprig mold project I decided to incorporate butterflies being colored from a dark blue to a lighter blue. The reason why I made the  butterfly in the front yellow is because I wanted it to stand out more than the others since it was bigger.

Sgraffito Project

For this project I decided to do a flower vase with a mesmerizing design. I should’ve made the the bottom more rounder and made the top part longer because it gives off the suggestion of a bottle.

Christmas Ornament

This is my Christmas ornament. I decided to do a stocking that read Merry Christmas and in between that the letter J which stands for Jennifer.

Project 3: Flower Vase

This is my final and favorite project. This vase was kind of hard to make because parts of the flowers kept falling off once they got dry. The only thing I should've done was paint the inside with a neutral color instead of leaving it as is.

Project 2: Coil Bowl

This is my second project. I really liked how the entire bowl came out. At first, I was only thinking about making a simple swirl bowl but in order to add some design I added the coils at the top.
